Appearance of the plants

Santa Marta Haze looks exactly like you would expect from strong sativa genetics. She grows tall, stretches hard, and develops long, narrow leaves with thin fingers. The overall shape is open and lively rather than short and bushy, with long branches reaching for the light like they have somewhere important to be. The flowers are long and covered in plenty of visible resin, giving them that frosty Haze look growers love. Outdoors, the breeder information says plants can reach around 3 to 4 metres, while indoor listings place her around 250 cm. In other words, she is not shy about taking up space.

The taste & smell

The flavor of Santa Marta Haze keeps things bright, fruity, spicy, and very Haze-like. Seedstockers describes the profile as fruity and spicy, while other published descriptions also point toward fresh fruit and classic Haze character. It has the sort of smell that tells you something interesting is going on before you even get close to the flowers. There is a lively, sharp side to the aroma, balanced by sweeter fruit notes that keep it from becoming too heavy. It is a proper old-school style Haze profile with a tropical twist, and it is certainly not the sort of plant that smells like absolutely nothing.

Effects

Santa Marta Haze is listed with THC in the 20 to 26 percent range, making it one seriously strong Haze. The effect is described as active, powerful, soaring, and psychedelic, with the original breeder description noting that the high can last for hours. This is very much a high rather than a sleepy, heavy stone, with a strong mental side that suits people who enjoy classic sativa effects. The body can still feel relaxed, but the main event is up in the head. In simple terms, this is not the strain to pick if you want something quiet and sleepy. She comes into the room, turns the music up, and starts talking.

Growing characteristics/yield

Santa Marta Haze has a flowering time of around 10 weeks, although the breeder notes that giving her a little longer can be worthwhile. She is suitable for indoor and outdoor growing, but her strong stretch and possible 3 to 4 metre outdoor height mean she needs plenty of room. Seedstockers describes the yield as massive, while published third-party information gives an indoor figure of around 450 to 550 g/m². No reliable outdoor yield in grams is stated in the breeder information, so it would be wrong to invent one. These cannabis seeds are best known for big plants, big flowers, and big expectations. Give this sativa patience and space, and she can deliver a very impressive harvest.
